We were four members of the family went for Amarnath Yatra on 24th Jul 2019 which was organized by Myoksha Travels.
There are two ways to visit this cave. One is via Baltal and the second is via Pahalgam. The Baltal route is shorter then the Pahalgam route. People go walking on both routes.
We four did not go walking as we were short of time and two of our team members had health problems. So we thought of going by helicopter arranged by Myoksha Travels. We four went to Srinagar by flight from Pune. After registration, we stayed overnight in Srinagar in the excellent hotel arranged my Myoksha Travels. Next day morning Then we went by car to Baltal. Our tickets were pre-booked by Myoksha Travels and the flight was at 9.00 am. Here everything depends on weather and the flights were not going due to bad weather. Fortunately Myoksha Travels managed to get us on a helicopter at 12.30 pm to Panchtarni. From here the distance to the cave is 6 kms.
Since it was raining we went by pony to the base of cave. It took us around 2 1/2 hours to reach the cave base. While travelling to cave we faced with rain and chilled wind. We were wearing woolen clothes and raincoats. When we reached the base of the cave we purchased the Prasad and walked the 200 appox. steps to the temple. One can feel the divine vibrations in the cave. You feel the presence of some divine power around you. You are blessed when you are in the cave. The return journey took us 2 hours to reach the helicopter base. Fortunately the weather was fine and we got the return flight at 6.40 pm which is last flight. We were very lucky to complete the yatra in a day. Usually most people stay overnight in government arranged camps in Panchtarni.
This journey is adventurous and fulfilling. I thank Myoksha Travels from the bottom of my heart for helping us complete this difficult yatra so easily.
I would like to give some important information to all the devotees who plan to visit Amarnath.
1. You need a complete Health certificate from the doctor. You can get it from any doctor as long as you are getting it in the last week of travel.
2. If you have any health issues please don’t walk. Take a helicopter. Book a helicopter ride early in the morning as the sky is clear and the journey is safe.
3. There the air becomes thin so u need to walk slow and take medication which helps you in high altitude.
4. It is better to go on pony as walking on this route is difficult. Those who are not so confident about walking the steps in the end should do a dholi.
5. Carry proper woolen clothing, raincoat, drinking water, dry snacks, medicine, extra pair of cloths etc. If you are unable to travel back to the base camp then you may have to stay in tent overnight so you should be prepared.

Just wanted to share my Holy Baba Amarnath Ji Yatra darshan. We were a family group of 12 people and booked our Helicopter package through Myoksha Travels. Pranjali ji was our tour coordinator.
30 June’2019: We reached at Srinagar airport, as per our schedule we were received by 02 Ac Toyota Innova cars, Mr. Mudasir Bhat and Mr. Sahil Shaikh were our driver. Directly we went to Sonamarg Destination. It was a beautiful drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg (86 – 90 Kms – Hardly 3 hours). We had stayed at Rah Villas Hotel which is aprox 15 Kms before the Sonamarg. Hotel Rah Villas was excellent hotel, room, services and food quality were ok.
01 July’2019: Morning we went to Neelgart Helipad, we were so fortunate that we got morning 07:30 AM slot in Helicopter, and after 08 minutes we reached at Panchtarani. From there we take Ponies to reach at Holy Amarnath Ji Cave. It was our life time achievement that we saw the huge ice shivalinga. It was aprox 17 – 18 feet height. After having darshan we had food at Local Bhandara (Langars). Later by 03:30 PM we came back to Panchtarani and we got boarding into Helicopter by 04:30 PM. For the night stay we went the same Hotel Rah Villas.
02 July’2019: Morning we came back to Srinagar, and we had shine darshan of Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple (The Shakti Peeth) on the way. We had stayed at Hotel Solar Residency Srinagar that night. Hotel was Ok.
03 July’2019: Morning we went to Gulmarg from Srinagar. Gulmarg is the nearest destination from Srinagar approx 60 Kms. Had very joyful moments in Gandola Cable Car ride. There was a heavy snow on phase 2, we had so many snow activities at over there. On the afternoon had lunch at Gulmarg Sahara Restaurant. Then we came back to Srinagar. We went to Dal Lake side from there and had Shikara ride on dal lake by the evening timing.
04 July’2019: Morning after breakfast we departed to Srinagar airport to catch our flight.
On the whole Team Myoksha Travels and specially Miss Pranjali did an excellent job in arranging this tour. It was a most comfortable and memorable journey of our lifetime.
Jai Shiva Shankara!!!

Myself and wife had waited long for this much awaited pilgrimage and we did finally make it with the blessings of the Lord. We visited the holy caves on the 14th July 2019 having started from Mumbai on 13th July. The fastest way to reach the holy caves as we got scheduled was 1. Fly to Srinagar airport , drive to pahalgam. 2. Pre book helicopter to panchtarni and return to pahalgam for same day return. 3) Take Horse service and Doli service to reach Holy caves from Panchtarni base fast and quick. Of course all this will cost you but should we mind for a minimum once in a life time visit to the holy caves?
And of course you may not be able to co-ordinate all this on your own and surely its well advisable to take the services of a reliable and sure shot delivering travel company. I would like to suggest the name of Myoksha Travels who specializes in temple tours. THEY HAVE BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF PERFECT FOR US. Initially I was not too sure or certain as to their services or quality of the arrangements but right from the moment we arrived at Srinagar and back to the airport to board our return flight to Mumbai, the trip was a memorable one for us and I would like to name in particular Miss Pranjali and Mr. Sasidhar for their most satisfying and concerned co-ordination and follow ups making our trip totally safe, timely and most satisfying.
The car hire ( Mr.Farooqbhai , Mr.Yusufbhai ) were very nice people and very very friendly and safe taking us all around wherever scheduled.
The Holy caves was a truly memorable and soul soothing experience and in-spite of all the talks of unrest and troubled situation in Kashmir, we never felt anything and enjoyed our entire trip. We would like to name a lot of people whom we met during our journey including the horse service people and the doli service people who all were very warm and friendly, but there being too many people we have them in our good feelings always.
You are allowed to carry your camera up-to the caves base and then they are required to be kept in lockers or deposits, so don’t miss out on this.
JAI BABA AMARNATH.
